Ramadhan Al-Mubarak

24 Aug

Alhamdulillah, today is the 4th day of Ramadhan and things are going good so far.

The weather has seemed to cool down a bit here in Japan.News saying that this year’s summer might be a short one.

Again, alhamdulillah to that :)

Another 3 weeks ++ before we go back for the Eid. Hubby hasn’t celebrated Eid with his family for almost 10 years now (me, 6 years) so you can imagine how excited he is. (and not to forget yours truly)

Yelah, lama2 raya kat Jepun ni pon bosan. Dah tiap2 tahun dok masak nasi impit instant, lemang perantau, rendang tak cukup syarat etc. Ni dah dapat balik, alhamdulillah, dapat la nak merasa makan yang ori..hehehe..

Eventhough it’s only going to be for about 2 weeks or so, I’m sure that’d be enough to make us gain a couple of kilos from all the festive food fest.

It’ll also be Harisa’s first time in Malaysia, so we’re not the only one who’re excited here :D
(btw, Harisa is my 8 month-old daughter, in case I haven’t mentioned :p)

Our Ramadhan routine so far:

  1. Wake up around 3:15-3:30 am for sahur
(sometimes Harisa wakes up as well and join us)
  2. Do our Subuh prayers and go back to sleep.
  3. Wake up around 7:45am to get ready for work/school
  4. Me: come back home around noon, break fast at home with Harisa
Hubby: comes back after Maghrib, breaks fast at the office ( so I make him his fasting-pack)

  5. Do our prayers, watch tv.
  6. Dooze off around 11:00pm.

It hit me this morning while we were having our sahur that this year we have our little munchkin with us to go through this holly month, and to think exactly a year ago, she was inside my tummy and there were just the two of us.

Wow.

Well, we hope that this year’s Ramadhan will be a good one. And to all my Muslim readers, Ramadhan Al-Mubarak to you too :)
