My darling “Hot Pepper”

10 Dec

Oh…I’m sorry, I meant my darling Harisa :)

Yes,our mini monster’s name actually means ‘hot pepper’ in Tunisian. Well, maybe she’s turn out to be a super hottie. Hot Pepper hot! LOL

Anyway, looking at some old photos of hers (which I’ve been meaning to sent out for prints, and yet still remains untouched in my pc), I realized just how big she’s gotten.

It’s unbelievable the changes a year can bring to a child. I’m just a teeny bit sad that she’s no longer that cute little thing that I can just wrap in a blanket and watch her sleep for the longest of hours . But then again, seeing her trying to drink from a cup, pushing god-knows-what buttons on the remote control, pestering our pet cat Sasha, re”organizing” the drawers (and the list goes on..)are just as much fun and worth every second of my life.

I love you my dearest “hot pepper”!

Good Morning

15 Sep

I was browsing through my Facebook this morning and I saw pictures of my high school friends. They had iftar (breaking fast) together last week which was also to celebrate a friend who’s flying off to UK to continue her studies and a friend who’ve just had her birthday.

Seeing the pictures made me really miss high school.

Sometimes I wonder why I am here doing what I’m doing now?

I have so many thoughts running through my mind lately, and I’m constantly evaluating the things I’ve done that have brought me here, to where I am today. I don’t know if I’ve made the right decisions but aside from a few other things, I’m quite content with what I have in my hands.

But I can’t help but to wonder, what would it be like if I walked down a different road?

hmmm….

I bet you don’t understand what I’m talking about huh? :)

That’s ok.

On a fresher note, I’m going back home for a short holiday starting tomorrow. Glad, anxious, nervous, happy, I’m looking forward to the good things I’ll get to do back home.

Sayonara Japan (well..at least for 2 weeks :p)

Ramadhan Al-Mubarak

24 Aug

Alhamdulillah, today is the 4th day of Ramadhan and things are going good so far.

The weather has seemed to cool down a bit here in Japan.News saying that this year’s summer might be a short one.

Again, alhamdulillah to that :)

Another 3 weeks ++ before we go back for the Eid. Hubby hasn’t celebrated Eid with his family for almost 10 years now (me, 6 years) so you can imagine how excited he is. (and not to forget yours truly)

Yelah, lama2 raya kat Jepun ni pon bosan. Dah tiap2 tahun dok masak nasi impit instant, lemang perantau, rendang tak cukup syarat etc. Ni dah dapat balik, alhamdulillah, dapat la nak merasa makan yang ori..hehehe..

Eventhough it’s only going to be for about 2 weeks or so, I’m sure that’d be enough to make us gain a couple of kilos from all the festive food fest.

It’ll also be Harisa’s first time in Malaysia, so we’re not the only one who’re excited here :D
(btw, Harisa is my 8 month-old daughter, in case I haven’t mentioned :p)

Our Ramadhan routine so far:

  1. Wake up around 3:15-3:30 am for sahur
(sometimes Harisa wakes up as well and join us)
  2. Do our Subuh prayers and go back to sleep.
  3. Wake up around 7:45am to get ready for work/school
  4. Me: come back home around noon, break fast at home with Harisa
Hubby: comes back after Maghrib, breaks fast at the office ( so I make him his fasting-pack)

  5. Do our prayers, watch tv.
  6. Dooze off around 11:00pm.

It hit me this morning while we were having our sahur that this year we have our little munchkin with us to go through this holly month, and to think exactly a year ago, she was inside my tummy and there were just the two of us.

Wow.

Well, we hope that this year’s Ramadhan will be a good one. And to all my Muslim readers, Ramadhan Al-Mubarak to you too :)
