Buttercream Marble Cake
Well, here’s the recipe for my Buttercream Marble Cake. I did the 1:2:3:4 Based Buttercake with Meringue Buttercream Icing. The 1:2:3:4 Cake recipe gives just the nice amount of sugar and flavor to the cake..and even more, sgt senang dibuat.
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, at room temperature
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
3 cups sifted flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt
How to make:
1. Cream butter and sugar until white and fluffy. Add in eggs one at a time.
2. Sift flour, salt and baking powder in another bowl and add into the butter-egg mixture alternately with milk. I like to use fresh milk cause the taste is nicer
3. Grease a 23cm pan with oil/butter and preheat oven at 350 degrees F.
4. Divide mixture to 1:4 and add in cocoa powder to the smaller amount of the mixture.
4. Pour in plain mixture into prepared pan and add in cocoa flavored mixture in spots and using a fork or a toothpick, draw rounds or squares ( ikut selera ) to produce a marbled look on the cake. Bake for 30minutes or so. I baked the the mixture into 2 layer of cakes and spread Meringue Buttercream Icing in the middle.
Meringue Buttercream Icing
2 cups butter
5 egg whites
175g sugar
1/2 tablespoon of vanilla extract
1. Cream butter and vanilla extract and put aside.
2. Beat egg whites and sugar until glossy peaks start to form.
3. Add in creamed butter into meringue. You can add food coloring to have the icing colored. You can use this icing to decorate as well. I only used it as fillings . Makes 4 cups of icing.
And sinced I was running short of butter, I only made 2 cups of icing, enough to make the fillings and cover the cake in a thin layer. Then I used whipped cream to cover the cake and put some berries on top to garnish. Tak reti nak hias lawa2

To d4yats, here’s the Creamcheese Glaze recipe:
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3 Tbsp butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 Tbsp milk
In a small bowl place cheese, microwave on high 1/4 to 1/2 minute. Add powdered sugar, butter, milk and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Frost cake.
